Nuclear Reactor Safety Training and Workforce Development Program Informational Webinar

The Nuclear Reactor Safety Training and Workforce Development Program targets future competitive workforce development programs focused on nuclear safety training for the people who support the continued safe operation of existing nuclear power plants. The Office of Nuclear Energy will hold an informational webinar for the Nuclear Safety Training funding opportunity announcement on Sept. 25 at 1 p.m. ET. This funding opportunity announcement has a tentative release date for the week of Sept. 30. Applications will likely be due Jan. 14, 2025. U.S. Department of Energy Launches $100 Million Nuclear Safety Training and Workforce Development Program

The U.S. Department of Energy today announced $100 million in funding to establish a nuclear safety training and workforce development program. Job growth in the U.S. nuclear energy sector is projected to triple by 2050 thanks to investments made by the Biden-Harris Administration’s Investing in America Agenda.
